These Terms govern your use of hoitaja.app (the "Service"), operated by Hoitaja (Sakdakorn Suksanwiman) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

hoitaja.app is a Finnish writing and translation assistant. It helps users write clearer Finnish text, polish drafts with AI, and translate between Finnish, English and Thai. The Service is currently provided free of charge to signed-in users.

2. Eligibility & Account

You must be of legal age in your country and provide accurate registration information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You must not:

use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
commit fraud, send spam, or impersonate others;
infringe intellectual-property rights of others;
probe, scan, scrape, or interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, including by uploading malware;
enter real patient identifiers or other sensitive personal data of third parties without a lawful basis.

4. AI Output

The Service uses AI to suggest translations, phrases and report wording. Output may contain mistakes and is not medical, legal or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it in your work.

5. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights in the Service, including software, design and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or circumvent technical limitations.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create in the Service. You grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service to you.

7. Payments

The Service is currently free of charge. If we introduce paid features in the future, the applicable pricing and terms will be presented before purchase.

8. Service Availability

We work to keep the Service running smoothly but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Features may change over time.

9. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account.

10. Disclaimers & Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We exclude liability for indirect or consequential damages, except where prohibited by law (e.g. fraud, death or personal injury).

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Finnish courts, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence states otherwise.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after the change means acceptance.
